Nigerian music icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken out about why he fought his wife, Natasha Osawuru Idibia, during their trip to London, United Kingdom (UK).
The award-winning artiste made the disclosure during an appearance on the Mic On podcast, where he reflected on difficult moments in his life and career, and the lessons he has learnt from them.
2Baba, who is a father of six, said there are several situations he wishes he had handled differently, especially during periods when he was under emotional pressure and stress.
During the conversation, the singer also revisited a controversial incident in London involving a disagreement with his wife, Natasha — a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly — which reportedly led to his arrest in October 2025.
Taking responsibility for what happened, 2Baba admitted that anger influenced his reaction at the time.
“I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident,” the singer said.
He explained that balancing personal challenges with life in the public eye has not always been easy, adding that some experiences have forced him to rethink how he handles conflict and pressure.
According to him, emotional strain can sometimes affect a person’s judgment, noting that he now understands the importance of responding carefully in tense situations.
“There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better. As a human being, there are times when you are overwhelmed or don’t make the best decisions. My thick-skin is weaker now,” he further explained.
2Baba added that the experiences have made him more reflective, teaching him lessons about accountability, emotional control, and personal growth.
