BREAKING: Abia Govt Charges Advocacy Group To Be Innovative

The Secretary to the Abia State Government, Prof Kenneth Kalu, has advised the members of the state Rule of Law and Corruption (ROLAC) to be innovative in discharging their duties.
Prof. Kalu, who gave the advice when he received the project coordinator, Abia State Rule of Law and Corruption (ROLAC) Barr. Jones Omenka and his team, who came on an advocacy visit to the SSG, enjoined the group not to be deterred in the discharge of their duties in order to make a positive impact on the lives of the citizens.
Kalu maintained that the present administration under the able leadership of Dr. Alex Otti is focused on creating a new Abia, pointing out that the role of ROLAC, which, according to him, centres on institution building, is critical for sustainable development.
In his speech earlier, the coordinator, Abia State Rule of Law and Corruption, Barr. Jones Omenka, who said the essence of the visit was to present their annual work plan to the government, added that ROLAC programs are sponsored by the European Union and implemented in the country by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.
He explained that ROLAC has thirty-one activities to be implemented in the state this year, while listing those under the office of the SSG to include leadership and support, among others.
