BREAKING: Abia Govt Pledges To Transform State College Of Education

The Abia State Government says plans have been concluded for the transformation of the Abia State College of Education Technical, Arochukwu, to meet the challenges of 21st-century education.
The secretary to the state government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, disclosed this when he received the Arochukwu forum of President Generals and Secretary Generals, who paid a courtesy visit to his office.
He maintained that the present administration is committed to repositioning the college to become a primary place for training educators.
Prof. Kalu challenged the group to work as a team to ensure peace and stability in their various communities as well as pay their taxes for sustained development, pointing out that their requests are well noted.
Earlier, the leader of the team and chairman of the forum, Chief Nnadozie Udensi, said they came to express their gratitude to the present administration led by Governor Alex Otti for his giant strides in the state and pledged their unalloyed support.
He enumerated some of the challenges facing them, including insecurity at ISU and a lack of a functional hospital, among others, and solicited the government’s assistance.
