Sultry Nollywood actress Adesuwa Etomi has taken to her social media page to open up on her battle with hyperemesis (an extreme morning sickness that causes one to vomit several times per day during pregnancy) and how she underwent a c-section.
The thespian who opened up in a lengthy post on her Instagram page said that she is happy to be celebrating her life and God’s faithfulness because she nearly lost her life in 2024.
She also disclosed that her husband, Banky W, was also not left out with medical issues, as he also needed another surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sail, so I am so grateful to be here celebrating my life and God’s faithfulness.
From being ill for months with hyperemesis (if you’re going through this, I see you. It’s not in your head. You are as ill as you feel & think you are, and yes, you need help),
”I want to thank all the doctors who looked after me in Lagos, Nigeria, and the team in Washington, DC, that pretty much saved my life. I am here, and I am grateful.
