BREAKING: Adeleke Deploys Officials To Review Community Project

Following the protests by residents of Aduragbemi, Ido-Osun over a poor road construction, Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed officials from the Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Works and O-RAMP Project to wade in and evaluate the project.
The directive prompted the visitation of the officials to the community affected by the alleged sordidly constructed road for on-the-spot assessment, interaction with the community and to deliver the message of the governor.
Residents of Aduragbemi community had on Thursday protested alleged poor construction of a road in the area accusing the contractor of doing a shoddy job.
A statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed disclosed that the team related the governor’s directive for an immediate review of the work done on the road while directing remedial action in line with best practices.
According to him, the team also assured the community that apart from a review and a follow up remedial work, the governor is also looking into other pressing needs of the community.
“The team is also interfacing with the contractors and the project managers to collate reports and determine an immediate remediation action.
“The government team is to report back to the governor by Monday after which further corrective decisions will be taken,” Rasheed stated.
