Air Peace has confirmed an incident of in-flight theft that occurred onboard Flight P47190 on February 19, 2025. The airline has reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety and security, taking swift action to address the situation.
In a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, the airline noted that upon landing at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHC), a passenger was found in possession of a missing item following a thorough search. The suspect was immediately handed over to the airport police for further investigation and necessary legal action.
Air Peace expressed concern over the rising trend of in-flight thefts in recent weeks and emphasised the airline’s firm stance against such criminal activities. To curb the menace, Air Peace is implementing enhanced security measures, including heightened vigilance by cabin crew and intensified in-flight announcements to remind passengers of the importance of securing their belongings and reporting any suspicious activity.
The airline stated that in line with its zero-tolerance policy, it has recommended blacklisting the suspect to deter future misconduct and ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for all passengers.
