
England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed he will leave Premier League champions Liverpool at the end of the season.
Alexander-Arnold announced his planned departure after 20 years at Liverpool Football Club, saying, “now is the time for me to confirm that I will be leaving at the end of the season.
“This is easily the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
Confirming his imminent departure, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post on his X handle wrote, “Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, here we go.Decision to leave Liverpool now confirmed,as trent says goodbye to the club after winning one more PL title.
“Documents being prepared for Trent to join Real Madrid on a 5 year contract.Verbal agreement done.”
The 26-year-old, who has been at the club since he was six, is out of contract in the summer.
