President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at Akure airport.
The president would be heading to Owo to Condole with the people and family of the late governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.
President Tinubu was represented by his deputy, Vice President Kashim Shettima, at the burial ceremony of the late governor on Friday last week in Owo.
Traditionally, in Yoruba culture, the elderly do not attend attend the funeral of the younger ones. This was ascribed to the absence of the president at the funeral of the late Akeredolu, who was his political associate.

It is expected that Mr. President would visit the traditional ruler of Owo, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye athis palace to commiserate with him over the passage of the illustrious son of the kingdom .
President Tinubu would visit Akeredolu’s family who are still in Owo after the interment of the late legal luminary.
After departing Owo, the President would be visiting the Yoruba leader and leader of the Pan Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Pa. Reuben Fasoranti at his residence in Akure, the state capital.
Currently, security agents have taken over control of the residences of Akeredolu in Owo and that of Chief Fasoranti in Akure.
