BREAKING: Anambra State Assembly Commends Soludo For Completion Of Marine, Akpaka G.R.A, Federal Housing to 3-3 Express Road

Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution commending the State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the completion of Marine, Akpaka G.R.A, and Federal Housing to 3-3 express road.

The resolution was passed following a motion presented to that effect by the member representing Onitsha North Constituency Two, Mr Patrick Okafor during plenary in Awka.

There and reports that leading the debate Mr Okafor emphasized the significance of these roads due to their high traffic volume, connecting to and from Onitsha and various residential estates.

He recalled the governor’s campaign promise to construct and complete these roads, contrasting them with unfulfilled pledges from previous administrations.

The lawmaker highlighted the positive impact of the road completion and said it has brought relief to Onitsha North constituents who are at the receiving end of traffic gridlock caused by the road’s poor condition.

In their remarks, the member representing Anaocha Constituency Two, Sir Ejike Okechukwu, his Njikoka Constituency Two, Dr Jude Akpua and Barrister Obi Nweke representing Anambra East Constituency, praised the governor for delivering on his promises and stressed the economic benefits of the completed roads, foreseeing enhanced commerce and revenue for Anambra residents.

Support for the resolution also came from the member representing Orumba South Constituency, Chief Emma Nwafor and his Nnewi North counterpart, Mr Augustine Ike, who applauded the governor for his commitment to infrastructure development regardless of party affiliation, noting the speed at which road construction projects are being executed.

Deputy Speaker of the House Right Honourable Chukwuma Okoye, who presided over the plenary, recalled Governor Soludo’s declaration of a State of emergency on roads, underscoring his leadership as one that transcends political divides.

The resolution was read out by the Deputy Speaker, and it received unanimous support from the lawmakers through a voice vote.
