The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff to President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Senator representing Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betty Edu into Standing Committeez of the governing party.
APC National Secretary, Senator Basiri Ajisola made this announcement on Thursday.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and Saliu Mustapha were named members of APC Finance Committee while Femi Gbajabiamila alongside some Ministers and top politicians were appointed as members of Intergovernmental Committee to support the party in its decision making process.
Ajibola said: “Inline the All Progressives Congress constitution and resolutions reached at the 123rd meeting of the Party’s National Working Committee held on Thursday September 21, 2023, the party appoints the underlined members of the newly constituted Standing Committees to support the party in its decision making process.”
Saliu Mustapha who is the Turaki of Ilorin will be inaugurated alongside others on Wednesday December 6, 2023 at APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
The appointment is another recognition of Mustapha’s contributions toward party development since inception.
Recall that the Ilorin born politician played active role in merger of majority political parties which led to APC formation in 2013.
