BREAKING: APC Forum Meets Plateau Chieftains In Abuja Over Wooing PDP’s Mutfwang

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Forum recently convened a closed-door meeting in Abuja with Plateau State party leaders and chieftains to strategize and intensify efforts to persuade Governor Caleb Mutfwang to defect from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.

This meeting comes after the Forum’s previous call for the governor to join the APC, citing the need for his developmental efforts to be more appreciated and accelerated.

Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, Chairman of the Forum, reiterated the importance of the governor’s defection to align with President Bola Tinubu and other North Central governors under the APC umbrella.

Following the Abuja meeting, Zazzaga briefed journalists, expressing satisfaction with Governor Mutfwang’s leadership qualities and achievements. He emphasized the desire for the governor to join the APC ranks to collaborate with like-minded leaders in addressing the state’s developmental and security challenges.

Among the APC chieftains present were Chief Amos Gizo, a former governorship aspirant, and Dashe Arlat, former Chairman of the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service. Zazzaga highlighted ongoing consultations with party elders and stakeholders to develop a robust action plan. The Forum intends to formally invite the governor to join the APC, followed by notifications to relevant APC structures at the ward, state, and national levels.
