The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo has won Estako West Local Government Area.
He secured 32,107 votes against his major challenger at the poll, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo who got 17,483 votes.
Etsako West is the home LGA of former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole and the now reinstated Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, who recently defected to the APC.
The both men are solidly behind Okpebholo’s bid to become governor.
On the other hand, Ighodalo is incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki’s anointed candidate.
