BREAKING: Bandits demand N44m ransom for abducted Zamfara RMAFC member

Armed bandits who abducted Bashir Aliyu Abara Gummi, the Head of the Zamfara State office of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), have demanded an additional N44 million ransom.

This comes after an initial N16 million was paid for his release.

Gummi was kidnapped while traveling along the Gusau to Funtua road en route to Abuja for an official engagement.

It was reported that other members of his entourage, who were also abducted, managed to escape during the attack.

News360 Nigeria further gathered from the family of the kidnapped RMAFC member that N16m was earlier paid as ransom with assurance to release the victim, but up til today he is still at the bandits’den.
