BREAKING: Bandits Kill 12 Farmers In Sokoto Community

No fewer than twelve persons were said to have been killed by terrorists allegedly led by notorious wanted bandit kingpin Bello Turji at Lugu town in Isa Local government area of Sokoto state.

Multiple sources informed our Channels Television that the attack took place when the notorious bandits were returning from a Sallah visit to one of the communities in Isa when he gruesomely murdered the farmers.

Police authorities in the Sokoto had refused to comment on the incidents, saying that since a military joint operation is ongoing in the area, the police have no right to speak on security development in the area.

When contacted, the Army at the 8th Division referred Channels Television to the Theatre Command of the Operation FASAN YAMMA, who is yet to respond to Channels Television’s request on the unfortunate attack.

But a lawmaker representing Sabon Birni in the state House of Assembly said some locals informed him about the attack, but there is no information that Bello Turji visited any community in his area for Sallah celebration.

He said there was a report that Turji planned to visit the Eastern part of Gataws for the Sallah celebration, but the prompt action of community members by informing security personnel prevented that, and it could be the reason Bello Turji vented his anger on innocent farmers.
