Alhaji Surajo Ahmed, the Katsina State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has been killed by suspected bandits who attacked his residence in the Mai Rana community of Kusada Local Government Area.
According to MACBAN National President, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma, the attackers struck at 10 pm on Saturday, also kidnapping Ahmed’s two wives and daughter.
He stated that the association has contacted the police and other security agencies to investigate the incident and secure the release of the kidnapped victims.
“The attack occurred last night around 10 pm. We have reached out to the police and other security organisations for intervention,” he said.
Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Katsina State Command, did not answer calls or respond to a text message sent to him.
