BREAKING: Bashir Ahmad Responds After The DSS Invited The Muslim Cleric Who Threatened Tinubu’s Wife With Death

Mr. Bashir Ahmad, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former presidential aide, has responded to reports that the Department of State Service (DSS) invited a Muslim cleric who had threatened to kill Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the country’s first lady, for questioning.

Reacting, Mr. Bashir Ahmad said that the DSS had invited the Muslim cleric who had threatened to kill the First Lady before the 2023 presidential election to clarify his careless remarks. He continued by saying that people who take pleasure in making foolish remarks should take note of this specific issue as a warning.

Mr Bashir Ahmad made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Friday evening.

He wrote: “Reports indicate that the cleric who issued a death threat against the First Lady during the 2023 presidential campaign has been invited by the DSS to explain parts of his reckless statements. This should serve as a warning to those who find joy in making unguided utterances.”

Recall that a certain video recently went viral on social media platforms. On the said video a Muslim cleric described Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, as an infidel and an unbeliever who should be killed. The cleric went on and noted that the reason is because she is a leader of the unbelievers.
