BREAKING: Bashir Ahmad Responds As Egypt Stops The Use Of Dollar As Currency Of International Transactions

After news broke that Egypt had formally discontinued using the US dollar as payment for international transactions, Mr. Bashir Ahmad, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former presidential advisor, responded.

The former presidential assistant stated that the world is genuinely and steadily changing in response to the article.

In response to the report, Mr. Bashir Ahmad disclosed this information in a post he made on his official X handle on Friday afternoon.

He wrote: “Egypt has officially stopped using the US Dollar as the currency of international transactions. The world is truly changing.”

Recall that it was reported earlier today that Egypt has officially ditched the US Dollar in trade. Egypt was one of the five countries to join BRICS at its 2023 summit.

Egypt subsequently expressed its desire to move away from the US dollar in trade. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured that it will work to urge countries it trades with in national currencies, to lessen the burden of the rising cost of utilizing foreign currencies for settlements.
