The Benue State House of Assembly has approved the removal of the state’s Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Maurice Ahemba Ikpambese.
Lawmakers accused him of financial misconduct and abuse of office.
Following the decision, the Assembly instructed that the most senior judge take over in an acting capacity until investigations into the allegations are concluded.
