Mr. Muftau, the younger brother of the late, well-known Yoruba actor Quadri Oyebamiji, well known as Sisi Quadri, has described how the movie star passed away in a hospital following a brief illness.

Before his older brother Sisi Quadri was buried in front of his home in the Agbowo neighborhood of the community yesterday, he reportedly said, according to The Nation, that the late actor had slumped at a movie location on February 19, 2024, and they had been notified that he had slumped while he was acting on that date.

One of Sisi Quadri’s brothers, went to pick him from the location back to Iwo. And that the deceased sent money to his family on the 18th of February, a day before he fell sick, for the remembrance of their mother who died one year ago on the 22nd of February 2023.

He said, “He also constructed a borehole in memory of our mother. We took him to the hospital after returning from location. They conducted tests on him and told us that he was having malaria. He was treated and he left the hospital on 26th February 2024. He later complained of ulcers.”

Further talking, Muftau said that after leaving the hospital, Sisi Quadri started preparing to return to the movie location, but they stopped him from going, and they switched off his phone.

However, on the 28th, of February, he developed hiccup, and he was taken to hospital and treated, but when the treatment yielded no result on his health, he was referred to Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso on Thursday, for proper care.

Muftau said, “While we were going, he gave us N300,000 cash, and later transferred N1 million into our account in case we needed anything at the hospital. He walked into the hospital himself but he later died on Friday.”
