BREAKING: Christmas: Dangote Reduces Petrol Price

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in petrol prices to N899.50 per litre, aiming to provide relief for Nigerians ahead of the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

In a statement, spokesperson Anthony Chiejina explained that this price cut is intended to alleviate transport costs during the festive period.

Additionally, the refinery is offering consumers the opportunity to purchase an extra litre of fuel on credit for every litre bought with cash.

In November, the privately-owned refinery had previously reduced its petrol price to N970 per litre.

“To ease transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is implementing a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.

“Moreover, for each litre purchased with cash, consumers can buy an additional litre on credit, supported by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” Chiejina stated.

The spokesperson for the refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support as the country enters the festive season.

Chiejina further emphasised the refinery’s commitment to ensuring that Nigerians have access to high-quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally friendly, and safe for engines.

He underscored that the refinery’s operations signify the end of Nigeria being a dumping ground for substandard and ‘blended’ imported products, which have posed serious risks to human health, machinery, and the environment.
