The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has called on Nigerians to imbibe the message of Christmas in their daily lives.
Professor Yilwatda advised Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion and resilience which are the messages of the Christmas season.
In his Christmas message on Tuesday, the Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Reduction noted that Nigerians faced severe economic hardship in the year.
He stated that the challenges of the economy, however, revealed the strength in shared humanity and the need for care for one another.
“As we celebrate this season of Christmas, let us embrace the values that bind us as a nation: unity, compassion, and resilience.
“This year has tested us in many ways, yet it has also revealed the strength of our shared humanity and the boundless capacity of our hearts to care for one another. Christmas is a moment for us to stand together, united as one people, committed to building a stronger and more inclusive nation,” he said.
Professor Yilwatda assured Nigerians that 2025 would bring more blessings and prosperity to the citizens.
“As we celebrate, may the light of Christmas guide us toward a future filled with peace, prosperity, and shared purpose. I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings and opportunities,” he prayed.
