BREAKING: Church Members Fulani Herdsmen Slaughtered In Plateau Identified

Rev. Keoleh Saleh, the president, Baptist Conference in Plateau has faulted the far-fetched narrative that the victims of the the Christmas Eve attacks in some communities of Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau are Muslims.

Speaking on Wednesday, Rev. Keoleh Saleh said the church lost nine of its members in the Christmas Eve attack perpetrated by Fulani militia.

The president disclosed this when he visited Dares community to witness the mass burial of the victims.

According to him, the deceased were members of the Nasara Baptist Church, Dares, in Tanti Baba of Bokkos.

The cleric said: “We are here on behalf of the Nigerian Baptist Convention to see things for ourselves and participate in this mass burial.

“At the moment, we have lost nine of our members who are from Nasara Baptist Church, Dares.

“The President of Baptist convention postponed our usual Christmas celebration just to honour our fallen members.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian security agencies received strong orders from President Bola Tinubu who on Tuesday condemned the gruesome murder of over 195 villagers in Plateau State.

According to Channels TV, the President ordered all the zones in the Plateau communities where the tragic incident happened to be raided immediately.

It was gathered that several houses were set ablaze by the attackers who also looted farm produce and destroyed properties in the process.
