BREAKING: Collaborative efforts among critical stakeholders will end sit-at-home in South-East – COAS

Acknowledging the support from the Abia State Government, COAS reassured that the Nigerian Army, under his leadership, will continue collaborating with the state to address security challenges.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, emphasized the need for collaborative efforts among key stakeholders in South-East Nigeria to halt the illegitimate sit-at-home order.

During his operational visit to 14 Brigade Nigerian Army at Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) Barracks in Ohafia, Abia State, COAS highlighted the role of regional stakeholders in restoring normalcy and fostering socio-economic activities.

Acknowledging the support from the Abia State Government, COAS reassured that the Nigerian Army, under his leadership, will continue collaborating with the state to address security challenges.

Governor Alex Otti expressed gratitude for the joint efforts of Nigerian Army troops and other security agencies in reducing insurgency in Abia State and the wider South-Eastern region.

COAS visited the Headquarters 14 Brigade Ohafia, urging troops to ensure peace in troubled areas, restoring public confidence for citizens to carry on with normal activities.

He pledged infrastructural development for GEJ Barracks and encouraged troops to remain dedicated to their operational tasks and loyal to the President, Commander-in-Chief, and the Constitution of Nigeria.
