The bandits were neutralized during an intense gun battle with the corps and the vigilantes on Saturday night in Yar Goje village, Kankara LGA of the state.
This was disclosed by a security expert cum Conflict and Crisis Journalist in the Northwest region of Nigeria, Bakatsine, on Sunday morning.
According to Bakatsine, the groups recovered rifles and motorcycles from the neutralized bandits.
“GOOD NEWS: Yesterday night, Katsina Community Watch Corp (CWC), in collaboration with Vigilantes group, engaged in an intense gunfight with bandits in Yar Goje village, Kankara LGA, Katsina State.
“They successfully killed several bandits and recovered rifles and motorcycles from the bandits,” he wrote.
