BREAKING: Dangote Feeds 40,000 Families in Borno With Rice Donation

At least 40,000 families in Borno State are set to benefit from the Aliko Dangote Food Intervention Programme, aimed at alleviating economic hardship.
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, represented by the Director General of Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Ali Abdullahi Isa, said the donation of 40,000 bags of 10kg rice by the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) will provide much-needed relief, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Maiduguri on Wednesday, he described the donation as a testament to the Foundation’s dedication to supporting vulnerable communities.
“We are deeply thankful to Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the entire foundation for their kindness and philanthropy,” he stated, urging residents to continue praying for peace, stability, and prosperity in the state and across Nigeria.
The rice distribution is part of a larger initiative by the Foundation, which recently began distributing one million bags of rice worth N16 billion across the country’s 774 local government areas.
ADF representative Usman Muhammad reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to supporting government efforts and improving Nigerians’ living conditions, particularly those of the poor and vulnerable.
A beneficiary, Aisha Modu, 50, who has been displaced, expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it would greatly ease her financial struggles. Another recipient, Umaru Aliyu, 60, said the rice would help him feed his six children, offering prayers for continued blessings upon the Foundation’s chairman.
