Dele Farotimi, a lawyer and prominent member of the Labour Party, LP, has responded to the assertion that the Obidients movement is exclusively devoted to Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra state, and not to the Labour Party.
An X user claims that the Obidients movement will instantly leave the Labour Party and board Peter Obi’s new vehicle if he decides to switch parties today.
The X user wrote;
“The Obedient movement is different from Labour party. The party was the vehicle but our loyalty is to the man. If he decides to change vehicle, Obidients will disembark immediately and join the new vehicle”.
Reacting to the post, Dele Farotimi said his loyalty is to the ideals espoused by Peter Obi. He said if Peter Obi should do a volte face tomorrow, he will not hesitate to call him out.
Dele Farotimi wrote on his page;
“My loyalty is to the ideals espoused by the man and supported by the movement. If the man should do a volte face tomorrow, I will not hesitate to call him out”.
