The family, friends, and neighbors of 37-year-old farmer, Kehinde Egbeyi, are currently in a mourning mood after his corpse and that of his wife, Bukola, were found at their residence at Oke Erinja, Ilaro-Owode Road, in the Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to PUNCH Metro, Kehinde, Bukola, and their relative Joel were watching a movie with their colleagues at Joel’s residence before retiring to their separate rooms for the night
The following morning, when it was time to leave for the farm, everyone except the couple emerged from their rooms. Despite Joel’s attempts to call them out, Kehinde and Bukola did not respond.
Joel became suspicious and decided to check on the couple. Upon entering their room, he found them dead.
The cause of their deaths is yet to be determined, but it is suspected that they might have been poisoned. The bodies have been deposited at Ilaro General Hospital for autopsy.
The incident has left family members, friends, and neighbors of the deceased in shock, as they struggle to come to terms with the tragedy.
The police have been informed about the incident and have launched an investigation to determine the cause of their deaths.
