BREAKING: Dr Nnamdi Odo Emerges South East Zonal Chairman of Councillors’ Forum

In a significant development for local governance, Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Odo has been elected as the South East Zonal Chairman of the Councillors’ Forum.

Odo emerged the zonal chairman at the recently held National Convention and election of the forum which took place in Abuja on Thursday, 12th December 2024.

The formal swearing-in ceremony was conducted this morning in Utako District, Federal Capital Territory, where Dr. Odo took the oath of office amidst a gathering of distinguished members of the forum and other stakeholders.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Odo thanked the forum for the confidence bestowed upon him. He articulated a vision for the forum that aims to inject a new breath of life into its operations. Dr. Odo further emphasised his unwavering commitment to advancing policies that will stimulate development at the grassroots level, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of local communities are prioritised.

In addition to his new role, Dr. Odo serves as the Coordinating Leader of Enugu Legislative Leaders, representing the 260 ward councillors of the state. His extensive experience and dedication to local governance position him as a pivotal figure in driving forward the interests of the councillors and the communities they serve.
