BREAKING: EFCC Invites Okoya’s Sons For Interrogation Over Naira Abuse

Two sons of Nigerian billionaire industrialist, Razaq Okoya, Subomi and Wahab, have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for interrogation over the abuse of Naira.

Naija News reports that in the invite signed by the acting director of the Lagos directorate of the EFCC, Michael Wetkas, the anti-graft agency directed the duo to report to the head of the special operations team at the 15A Awolowo Road office of the commission by 10am on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Recall that Okoya’s children have been in the news for abusing the naira in a promotional video for a new song.

In the video, a policeman is seen holding some cash as the brothers dance and toss the naira notes into the air.

However, in a statement on Friday, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the policeman featured in the video has been detained.

Adejobi added that the policeman is being subjected to disciplinary action.

Taking to X, Raheem urged Nigerians to pardon his behaviour.

He said, “To the Nigerian people, my actions were not to cause any trouble or harm.

“My intentions were pure and naive. I ask for your forgiveness and support in this situation, as I had no intention to raise such an alarm.

“I wasn’t fully aware of the consequences of my action.”
