Washington, D.C. – Former President Donald Trump erupted in an all-caps social media tirade after reports surfaced claiming he had planned to brief billionaire Elon Musk on the U.S. military’s top-secret war plans for China.
“The Fake News is at it again, this time the Failing New York Times!” Trump fumed on Truth Social, responding to an explosive article alleging that Musk was set to receive a classified Pentagon briefing detailing America’s strategy in the event of a conflict with China.
The New York Times, citing anonymous government insiders, claimed Musk was expected to review a 20-30 slide presentation outlining possible Chinese targets and the U.S. response if war were to break out. The article suggested that the billionaire, whose business ties to China have long sparked controversy, was to play a role in these high-stakes discussions.
Trump, however, furiously denied the allegations. “They said, incorrectly, that Elon Musk is going to the Pentagon tomorrow to be briefed on any potential ‘war with China,’” he wrote. “China will not even be mentioned or discussed. How disgraceful it is that the discredited media can make up such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!”
Trump’s Social Media Meltdown Continues
The former president didn’t stop there. In a follow-up rant, Trump lashed out at The New York Times, branding it “one of the worst and most purposely inaccurate newspapers anywhere in the world.” He also slammed CNN for amplifying the report, mocking the network’s ratings and claiming “nobody was watching.”
Taking his outrage to new levels, Trump directly attacked NYT journalist Maggie Haberman, whom he referred to as “Maggot Hagerman,” accusing her of using “anonymous, made up (nonexistent!) sources” in what he called a “scam.”
As his tirade continued, Trump bizarrely insisted he was owed a Pulitzer Prize, declaring: “The Fake News is the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE. And Elon is NOT BEING BRIEFED ON ANYTHING CHINA BY THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR!!!”
This latest meltdown comes as Trump remains at the center of political controversy, with his social media posts growing more erratic and combative.
