BREAKING: Embarrassing moment Shettima orders Fubara to go back and greet Wike at governors meeting with Tinubu at Aso rock (Video)

At the governors’ meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, February 15, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State was captured deliberately shunning and walking past his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

This is coming amid the power tussle for Rivers state going on between Fubara and Wike as both have been at loggerhead since 2023.

Recall thatThe Street Journalreported that President Bola Tinubu will be holding a closed-door meeting with state governors at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, February 15, to proffer solutions to the economic crisis in the country.

Fubara and Wike before now have both been in conflict with each other over who owns Rivers state as the current governor claims his predecessor has been influencing his decision-making .

As a result of the conflict between Fubara and Wike, Nine commissioners earlier resigned from their positions before President Tinubu intervened in the political conflict in the state which eventually led to the commissioners being reinstalled.

It will be recalled that in October 2023, the Rivers State House of Assembly , RSHA, was set ablaze by suspected political thugs over the move to impeach the state governor.

This came amid rumors of an impending impeachment procedure against Governor Fubara and Leader of the House, Edison Ehie.

Some thugs in a white Hilux van were said to have invaded the assembly complex in the night, disarmed the security personnel on duty, and set the building on fire.

The incident occurred at the assembly complex, opposite the Headquarters of the State Command Police, on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, the state capital.
