BREAKING: Enugu SME Trains 100 Youths in High-Demand Tech Skills

The Enugu State Government through Enugu SME Center has completed the training of 100 youths of the state on High-Demand digital skills needed in today’s world.
The training tagged “Enugu SME/AltSchool Training Program” was done in partnership with AltSchool Africa.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser to governor Peter Mbah on MSMEs & Digital Economy said; “This hybrid six-month training program was designed to equip Enugu youths with practical knowledge in Frontend Web Engineering and Backend Web Engineering, positioning Enugu State as a key player in the global tech industry.”
Hon. Chilo-Offiah who also doubles as the DG of Enugu SME Center emphasized the importance of the training, adding that; “In Nigeria, the demand for frontend and backend developers is growing rapidly, providing lucrative career opportunities:
“Frontend Developers earn an average annual salary of ₦16.67M (₦1.39M/month), while Backend Developers earn an average annual salary of ₦8.16M (₦680K/month).
“With youth unemployment in Nigeria projected at 5.84%, the Enugu SME Center is committed to bridging this gap by empowering young talents with high-demand digital skills that can transform their careers and economic futures.”
He also stayed “the training reflects the vision of H.E. Dr. Peter Mbah, whose unwavering commitment to building a digitally skilled workforce is shaping the future of Enugu State.”
