BREAKING: Ex CBN Deputy Gov, Moghalu Responds As Tinubu Tells Nigerians To Allow CBN To Do Its Work

Professor Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s alleged request that Nigerians refrain from “a cacophony of postulations” on our currency rate crisis and instead let the CBN to carry out its duties.

The former CBN Deputy Governor acknowledged his expertise when reacting, saying that he would not engage in a “cacophony of postulations” in this particular instance. He continued by expressing his continued support for our central bank’s successful completion of this difficult duty, highlighting the depth of Nigeria’s economic problem and the fact that it transcends the currency rate.

Professor Kingsley Moghalu made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Friday afternoon, while reacting to the recent statement that was made by President Tinubu.

Some parts of his post read: “President @officialABAT has asked Nigerians to avoid “a cacophony of postulations” about our exchange rate crisis and allow @cenbank do its job. “Not everyone can be an expert” the President said. Well, I am an expert, but let me refrain from a cacophony of postulations here.”

It should be recalled that it was recently reported that President Tinubu told Nigerians to allow the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to do its work and also avoid “a cacophony of postulations” about our exchange rate crisis. Tinubu also made it known to Nigerians that if those appointed to manage the foreign exchange fail, they will be removed from the system.
