BREAKING: Ex-NIWA MD, George Moghalu, joins Anambra governorship race, picks Labour Party forms

A former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief George Moghalu, has picked the Labour Party governorship forms in Anambra State.

Moghalu, who presented the nomination and expression of interest forms to the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure, at the party national secretariat in Abuja, expressed confidence he would pick the party’s governorship ticket in the April 5 primary election in the state.

The former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) equally boasted he would defeat Governor Charles Soludo in the November 8 election in Anambra State.

Moghalu said he decided to join the Labour Party after consultations with his constituents and other stakeholders.

“Our ambition is not a war, the truth is that at the end of the day, one person will fly the flag of the Labour Party in Anambra State, and I believe with confidence in God that I will be that person.

“Mr. Chairman, one assurance I will give you today is that I will not betray confidence, I will not let you down. I will go with Labour and I will win with Labour Party by God’s grace.”
