Former Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has been appointed coach of Egyptian Premier League club Zamalek.
The club have confirmed the appointment on their official website.
Simce leaving the Nigerian national team in March 2024, Peseiro has been without a job.
But the 64-year-old, according to reports from the North African country, penned an 18-month contract with Zamalek.
Zamalek, 14-time Egyptian champions, recently sacked former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Christian Gross paving the way for the appointment of Peseiro.
The Portuguese gaffer is making a return to Egypt having already coached Al Ahly in the 2015/16 season.
Reports also say that Peseiro will earn $65,000 monthly in his first six months at the club. His pay will then be increased to $85,000 monthly from next season.
