[BREAKING] FACT-CHECK: Did Works Minister, Fashola Gain Access To INEC Election Results Portal?

An allegation has gone viral claiming that the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, gain an unauthorized access into the results portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission .The claim was made with a photograph of Fashola with a laptop and a desktop which appeared to bear some graphic illustrations of elections results

Amidst the ongoing acrimony over release of the presidential and National Assembly elections held last Saturday, the allegation became more a subject of interests among many who have commented on the post.

Also a post by the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Senator Ahmed Datti, further provoked more interest when he posted :

“Someone please ask Fashola how he got access to this server that has the election result data. INEC and APC rigged the election even before it started. They should come out and defend this,” he posted on his Twitter page

FINDINGS:

Newshour Reports scrutinized the photo in question and discovered that the photo did not Show INEC result portal but the website of a Civichive.
