Human rights advocate and attorney Dele Farotimi has responded to allegations that certain Obidient Movement supporters are now endorsing candidates from other parties.
This is in response to a user on X drawing attention to Obidients who have opted to back a candidate from a different political party in the upcoming Edo state gubernatorial election that will take place later this year.
The announcement that Olumide Akpata, the former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), had won the Labour Party’s primary election is no longer news.
In a post that the X user made on his official X handle on Monday, he said some Obidients are now receiving gigs and supporting other candidates ahead of the Edo state governorship election.
The X user wrote on his page;
“I am tired, Obidients are now receiving gigs”
Reacting to the statement that was made by the X user, Dele Farotimi stated that by their fruits, they shall be known.
Dele Farotimi wrote on his official X handle;
“By their fruits you shall know them”.
