BREAKING: Fatal Truck Accident Claims Several Lives

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that four people lost their lives, and two others were seriously injured in a road accident involving a single truck in Kogi State.

According to Kogi’s FRSC Sector Commander, Samuel Oyedeji, the crash occurred on Monday at around 7:20 p.m. near the Produce area in Falele, along the Lokoja-Okene road.

The truck reportedly lost control due to excessive speed and brake failure, crashing into a concrete road divider.

Emergency responders from the FRSC arrived at the scene shortly after receiving a distress call.

Unfortunately, four passengers in the truck had already died, while two others sustained severe injuries, including fractures.

The injured were quickly taken to Honey Gold Hospital for medical treatment.

The deceased have been moved to the mortuary at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja.

Commander Oyedeji urged motorists to be cautious, avoid speeding, and regularly check their vehicle’s brake system before setting out on any journey to prevent such tragic accidents.
