The Police in the Federal Capital Territory has listed 17 areas which it termed criminal black spots across Nigeria’s capital city.
The FCT police command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said the force identified these areas as criminal black-spots and have strategically raised the places.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Adeh said, conducting daily raids in the marked locations are critical to maintaining law and order in the capital city.
She said, “Massive Successes Achieved Through Daily Raids. The sustained efforts of the FCT Police Command have yielded remarkable results, including: 348 suspects arrested for various criminal activities and 320 suspects prosecuted and charged to court.”
Below are the 17 criminal hot spots listed by the FCT police command:
1. Apo-Dutse Panteka
2. Diplomatic Zone
3. New PDP Secretariat
4. Kabusa Panteka
5. Ajakaita (Tungan-Maje)
6. Abuja-Kaduna Road
7. Jabi Panteka
8. Apo-Waru Panteka
9. Area 1 (Monkey Village)
10. Durumi Village
11. Gwarimpa
12. Angwan Tivi
13. Mpape (Mashafa and Shishinpe villages)
14. Durumi III (Burukutu Garden)
15. Mabushi (Gishiri Village)
16. Kubwa (by Pipeline and NEPA Road)
17. Maitama (under the Transcorp Bridge).
