FIFA president Gianni Infantino has spoken on the plan by the world football governing body to bring in blue card.
Speaking on the issue, Infantino dismissed the proposed introduction of the blue card in football.
Last week, reports surfaced indicating that the International Football Association Board had approved trials for the blue card.
It would have marked the first time since the inception of the traditional yellow and red cards at the 1970 World Cup that a new card would be implemented in football.
However, in response to the immediate criticism of the plans, Infantino clarified to Sky UK that such a card does not exist.
“Blue cards? This is a topic that is nonexistent for us,” he stated emphatically. “If you want a headline, it is: red card to the blue card. No chance, no way.”
