BREAKING: Fintiri commissions landmark projects in Bayelsa, lauds Diri’s developmental strides

Bayelsa State has witnessed a boost in its infrastructure development, courtesy of the commissioning of key projects by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The projects, which include a 2.1-kilometer dual carriageway and the Commissioners’ Quarters, are located in the Government Reserved Area of New Yenagoa City.

Fintiri, who was invited by his Bayelsa counterpart, Senator Douye Diri, to mark the fifth anniversary of the Prosperity government, lauded the governor’s leadership, describing it as instrumental in reshaping the state.

He acknowledged the rapid pace of transformation, describing it as unprecedented.

“Anyone who provides infrastructure does so for the greatest number of the people. Senator Diri has etched his name as a governor doing wonders in Bayelsa State and has cultivated special friendship across the country and a fraternal bond within the PDP family,” Fintiri said.

Governor Diri, while thanking Fintiri for honoring the state’s invitation, emphasized that the creation of New Yenagoa City was part of a broader vision to expand the state capital with modern infrastructure.

According to him, these efforts aim to elevate Yenagoa’s status to match other prominent cities in the country.

“So, our job is to make things simpler for our people and make our people happy. That is the essence of governance. That is the work you gave to us. So we want to thank you, the people of this State, for the support that you have given to us,” Diri said.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and traditional rulers, including HRM King Bubaraye Dakolo, AGADA IV, Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom and Chairman of the Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers
