A fire outbreak was reported on Monday morning at the headquarters of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in Abuja.
The incident affected a section of the federal civil service building, causing panic among workers and visitors within the complex.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the affected area as emergency responders moved quickly to the scene.
Officials said the exact cause of the fire had not been confirmed as of the time of filing this report. However, early indications suggest the incident may be linked to a possible power surge within the facility.
Personnel of the Federal Fire Service and other emergency responders were immediately deployed to the building. Firefighters were seen battling the flames and working to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the structure.

Security operatives also cordoned off parts of the premises to allow emergency teams carry out their operations without obstruction.
