Abia State Governor’s Wife Celebrates First Baby of the Year, Supports Newborn Families
Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the Wife of the Governor of Abia State, celebrated the arrival of the first baby born in the state this year, Master Chiudo Favour, alongside three other newborns, during a visit to the Aba South Primary Health Care Center on Wednesday.
During the visit, Mrs. Otti presented N500,000 to Master Favour, while the other three babies each received N300,000. In addition, the families were given bags of rice and other essential items.
Mrs. Otti congratulated the families and highlighted the commitment of the Abia State government to improving healthcare services throughout the state. She also emphasized the importance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of a baby’s life, encouraging mothers to embrace this vital practice for their children’s health.
She also took the opportunity to commend healthcare workers at the center for their dedication, urging them to continue their life-saving efforts in the community.
Mrs. Comfort Favour, the mother of the first baby of the year, expressed deep gratitude to Mrs. Otti and offered prayers for blessings upon her and the state government.
Following her visit to the Aba South Primary Health Care Center, Mrs. Otti also visited the Federal Medical Center in Umuahia, where she distributed more gifts to mothers.
“Every child born in Abia State is a blessing, and it is our duty to support families during these precious moments,” Mrs. Otti said, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to the well-being of its residents
