I’m bold to say that they only ticket with an alien is that of All Progressive Congress as Babajide Sanwo-olu is from Ijebu in Ogun State.
I dare him to point to his family house in Lagos. Even Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with questionable heritage has a place to point to and call his ancestral home.
Can a Lagosian become a Governor in Ogun State? Has a Lagosian with true Lagos origin served as a LG chairperson in Ogun, Osun or Ekiti? Or you want to claim there are no Lagosians. Awon omo Eko.
Are we going to claim that at some point, people from South West didn’t start the slogan ” gbogbowa la ni eko” to counter the claims that there is no one of Lagos indigeneship?
Are we now forgetting the many supporting arguments which you now faults Igbos and other tribes for pushing forward?
Before now, it was Jimi Agbaje of the PDP from 2011 till 2019 that bore the burden. PDP was seen as an Igbo party, Jimi was seen as flying an Igbo agenda.
Now it is Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour that is now Igbo, just because he has an Igbo mom, and Labour Party is now an igbo party.
I’m wondering why the people of Ondo never saw LP as an Igbo party when Olusegun Mimiko flew the flag of the party to win the Governorship election in the state under the chairmanship of Chief Dan Nwanyanwu.
I’m wondering why they never saw it as a takeover of their state by Igbos or are there no sizeable population of Igbos in Ondo State?
I’m wondering why Akeredolu children are yet to be termed igbo because of their mom.
It is evident that it’s the ruling party in the state has seen this as a winning formula to divide the get a large percentage of the electorates to overlook its wrongdoings by inciting a tribal rivalry.
I’m wondering if good governance will recognise Yorubas and exclude igbos?
