[BREAKING] Ganduje: Kwankwaso Planning To Join APC

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed that the attempts made by Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa to promote reconciliation between Rabiu Kwankwaso and Abdullahi Ganduje were motivated by Kwankwaso’s wish to rejoin the APC.

They contend that reconciling the former Kano Governors, as suggested by Kofa, is merely a political ruse, as they feel there is no necessity to align with Kwankwaso politically.

This assertion was communicated by the spokesperson for the APC in Kano State, Ahmad S. Aruwa, during a discussion with Hikima Radio in Kano.

Naija News understands that Ganduje (the National Chairman of the APC) and the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Kwankwaso, have been at loggerheads over related political matters.

However, as per the APC spokesperson, the purpose behind Kwankwaso’s efforts to come back to the APC is to regain dominance over the party from its existing members.

He pointed out that Kwankwaso had previously undermined Malam Ibrahim Shekarau by compelling a transition from APC to PDP, and had similarly betrayed their trust when they were part of the PDP.

“Looking at how Kofa outlined the achievements and positions held by Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it becomes clear that he is too insignificant to mediate peace between the two,” Aruwa said.

He stressed that if anyone was to mediate between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it should be Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, not Kofa.
