BREAKING: Getafe Clinch Signing Of Relatively Unknown 20 Year Old Nigerian Uche

20 year old Nigerian midfielder Christantus Ugonna Uche will wear the colors of Spanish LaLiga side Getafe next season following an agreement for his transfer from third division side AD Ceuta FC, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Getafe beat a host of top division teams in reaching an agreement on his transfer fee which includes Real Betis, a sign of how his astonishing performances this season hasn’t gone unnoticed. Cueta will also receive %20 of his future sale.

A meeting on his signing involving his agent, his present team and the hierarchy of Getafe was held in Madrid. The sporting director of Ceuta, Edu Villegas, and his deputy, Víctor González ensured the meeting ended with an agreement that will see the Nigerian join Gefate on a two year deal starting from next summer.

20 year old Uche was a part of the Nigeria U23 team last year while playing for Moralo in the Spanish fifth division. Third division Cueta picked him up after a season there with the intention of integrating him into their youth team, but he blew their thoughts away and was instantly made a part of the first team by coach José Juan Romero.

So far he has played in all but two games this season making a total of 22 appearances from a possible 24. One of the games he missed was due to technical issues, while the other was down to serving a suspension for accumulated bookings. He has played 90 minutes in every game this season.

Uche only left the Nigerian city of Owerri one year ago to begin his career abroad making his rise to the top league in Spain from the fifth division more astonishing, but also a testament to his ability which is aided by his physique aside other attributes.
