Ghana’s newly sworn-in President, John Dramani Mahama, mistakenly referred to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu as the “President of Ghana” during his inauguration ceremony today, January 7.
The incident occurred as President Mahama, 65, was delivering his inaugural address at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from across Africa, including President Tinubu, who had arrived in Accra on Monday to witness the inauguration.
This is his second tenure as president, having previously served from July 2012 to January 2017.
