Gombe United goalkeeper Itodo Akor has revealed that they are focused on improving the lapses in the team.
The Savannah Tigers have the worst defence so far in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
United have conceded 21 goals in 14 league outings this term.
Itodo said the players are working tirelessly to shore up the defence.
He also expressed their commitment to win back the trust of the fans by winning more games.
“We’ve been working tirelessly on several fronts to enhance our game. Primarily, we’re focused on tightening our defense and improving our overall teamwork,” he stated.
“We’ve identified areas for growth, and our training sessions are geared towards addressing those aspects.
“The challenge is to win back the fans by winning games. The basis of football is fun because it’s really just a game. But what I wish is that we also win.
“At this club what is worthy is winning.”
Gombe United occupy 15th position on the NPFL table with 16 points.
