
Following the killing of hunters on a routine patrol in Duguri and Gwana Districts, the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has launched a probe.
The Governor assured that his office would be working closely with the security agencies to bring justice to the victims.
It was gathered that the hunters were on patrol near the Duguri Mansur and Dajin Madam Forest areas when they were ambushed by some bandits.

Mukhtar Gidado, the media aide to the governor said Mohammed described the the attack as heinous.
In a statement issued on Monday, Gidado stated that the governor said the violent action by the bandits is aimed at disturbing the peace in the state.
While extending his condolence to the families of the victims, the governor said, “This heinous and senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the continued threat posed by criminal elements who seek to disrupt the peace and security of our communities.”
He also assured that no effort would be spared in ensuring that the perpetrators are apprehended and made to face justice.
“While the government intensifies collaboration with security forces to bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to justice, Governor Bala Mohammed assures the public that no effort will be spared in ensuring that Bauchi remains a safe and peaceful state for all,” Gidado said.
