BREAKING: Gov Uzodinma Sack Cabinet Members, His Political Appointee

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodomma, has dissolved the State Executive Council and removed the Local Government Area Chairmen.

The announcement was made during a state executive council meeting in Owerri. The dissolution affects various officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Advisers, Chief of Staff, and Chief Press Secretary.

Governor Uzodomma expressed gratitude to the outgoing appointees for their contributions during his first term and explained that the move aims to restructure the administration for optimal performance and a new direction. He apologized for any grievances and assured inclusivity in his second term.

The Governor is set to form a new cabinet by nominating commissioners for assembly confirmation. Uzodimma and his deputy were sworn in on Monday in Owerri, with notable political figures in attendance.
